Word of the publisher

Dear reader,
This book was received by the medium Jozef Rulof in three parts.
The first Dutch edition of part 1 was published in 1933, part 2 in 1935 and part 3 in 1936.
The original title in Dutch was: Een Blik in het Hiernamaals.
The starting point for the translation is remaining faithful to the original mediumistic text.
Additions by the editor are (between round brackets).
Sometimes, a reference is also made between brackets to an article on rulof.org, the website of the foundation.
For instance, we can refer to the article ‘explanation at soul level’ with (see rulof.org/Explanation-at-soul-level).
This article contains the general explanation by the publisher that particular words and ideas in the books by Jozef Rulof were used to fit with the word use and thinking at that time of the reader in the first half of the twentieth century.
However, many of these ideas are not part of what the spiritual leaders of Jozef Rulof know for themselves as truth and ultimately passed on as explanations at soul level in the books.
You will find more information about the articles, the books, Jozef Rulof and the publisher in the appendices at the back of this book.
With the first book that Jozef Rulof received mediumistically in 1933, his mediumship was not yet sufficiently developed in order to write his own name in the book.
When this happened, Jozef Rulof awakened from the trance, because he felt himself being called 'awake' as it were by writing his name.
This also applied to all the names and circumstances which lived inwardly in his inner life.
This is why, in ‘A View into the Hereafter’, other names and circumstances were used, which would not disrupt the depth of the trance during the writing of the book.
For more information about writing these books in trance, we refer to the book 'Spiritual Gifts’.
This is why Jozef Rulof was called ‘André’ in this book and various other names and details were also slightly changed by the writer.
The exact names and details of the life of Jozef Rulof can be found in the biography ‘Jeus of Mother Crisje’.
Jozef says about this in the foreword to the fourth edition of ‘A View into the Hereafter’: ‘However, this is not about a name - but about the message - of this oh so beautiful piece of work.’
Picture on the cover is a painting received by Jozef Rulof from the Side Beyond.
With kind regards,
The board of directors of the Foundation The Age of Christ
